FRACS Orthopaedic Exams


You have been referred a 25 year old right hand dominant brick-layer who has been noted on MRI to have a 1 cm anterior labral detachment from the glenoid. He enjoys social squash. Although he has only one known dislocation, there have been numerous episodes of “uncertainty” in that shoulder.

1. What examination findings will you look for in this man?
2. How will you manage this problem?
