- vertebral artery compression seizures, mental deterioration, syncope, vestibular disturbances
Investigations
- flexion – extension films
- show hypermobility- atlanto-dens interval more than 5mm in children
- MRI
- shows cord damage
- CT
- demonstrate the degree of displacement
Treatment
- C1-2 fusion
